A proposed home rule petition would lower Boston’s voting age to 16 for city elections, if passed

Two Boston city councilors are asking their fellow councilors to consider a home rule petition to allow 16- and 17-year-old residents to vote in municipal elections, should state lawmakers sign off on the proposal.
